1. It took Odysseus 10 years to return home
2. According to google maps it should have taken him 2 weeks

8. The Cyclops returns to his house and sees all the men and then starts to eat them. Then Odysseus makes the cyclops drunk and spears him in the eye with a flaming stick. The cyclops says no-man is hurting me and so no one else to came to save him but Odysseus wanted them to know. So he told them his real name and the cyclops call down curses on him and all his men get killed.
9. Yes, he is considered a hero because back then if a man slept with a lot of women then they were considered heroic which Odysseus did. Also he killed all the monsters that were trying to kill him and his men in order to get back to his family.
10. The most beautiful line in Homer is "and so she to rejoiced, her gaze upon her husband. her white arms round him pressed as though forever".
